A zinc containing coating that dries to a smooth, matt grey finish, designed to provide outstanding corrosion resistance on ferrous surfaces, and an excellent receptive coating for subsequent decorative and functional finishes.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

Prepare the area to be treated, ensuring freedom from dust, grime, greases, oils etc, using TEK038 Universal Degreaser or suitable alternative and allow to dry. Rust, other surface contamination, and loosely adhering matter should be removed using a stiff brush or an appropriate grade of wet and dry abrasive paper. Following preparation, the surfaces should be further treated with TEK Universal Degreaser and allow to dry.

Shake the can thoroughly for at least two minutes. Repeat shaking at regular intervals during use.

Apply sparingly from a distance of 20 – 25cm. Apply typically 2 to 3 coats or as necessary to achieve total and even coverage, leaving between 10 – 15 minutes between each application.

Allow at least 24 hours between application of final coating and preparation for any subsequent finishes that may be required.

On completion of use, invert can and depress actuator for a few seconds to prevent nozzle blockage.

This product may be used over acrylic or cellulosic paints, and may be over-coated with acrylics, alkyds, cellulosics, p/u alkyds and epoxies. Where over-coating of a previously applied alkyd coating is suspected, always test for suitably of use by applying several coats in an inconspicuous area, and allow to dry thoroughly to establish absence of wrinkling and other surface defects.

Where to use:
Designed for use on all types of cleaned metallic surfaces, particularly for protection of welds, and most conventional coatings.

Where not to use:
Some painted surfaces without first establishing suitability.
